Super Summer Photo Montage

Posted on

MAN the smoke this summer was terrible! The few days of clear, fresh air we made sure to make the most of it. We jammed out to Riverside Trail & tested out the Canyonaro (our new name for the stroller), played on the deck, and visited family in Alberta. I tried to add as many photos as I could here, but I also add all my shots to Flickr, as an extra back-up online to photos, so you can always go check them out there as well.

I have been doing a lot in black and white lately as well, and I am falling in love with it all over again.  My process has been taking a colour shot, then switching to monochrome right on the camera, so I get one of each.  I wanted to see what way worked better, black and white via camera or Photoshop. So far, I kinda like both, lol! BUT, I find that the sky turns out better when I take black and white via the camera settings first.  I also sometimes use filters from Filtergrade, who I just adore.

What do you prefer for your black and white shots? Leave a comment or tweet/FB/Insta me!
